Hi! I’m Jina.
I'm super passionate about making complex things easy to understand. In my previous roles, I've had the privilege of working on projects that leverage my technical expertise to make a meaningful impact on the communities I love.
During my time at Riot Games as a Communications Specialist, I owned the League of Legends patch notes from end-to-end, collaborating closely with the game development team to produce over 40 articles that reached millions of players worldwide. Prior to that, I served as a Program Manager at Microsoft, leading UX initiatives to simplify cloud-based endpoint management solutions for IT administrative professionals.
My research-focused Master’s in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington was centered around human-computer interaction (HCI). I conducted in-depth research with youth to publish academic articles about teen online trust and safety, and my papers have been cited over 286 times to date.
What I love most about my work is that I’m constantly learning about new technologies and getting to share this knowledge with others through accessible, user-friendly content. To me, elegant writing is about much more than just communicating information—it’s about democratizing it.
