SleepCoacher is an Android smartphone app that goes beyond typical sleep tracking capabilities. It helps you improve your sleep by recommending “experiments” to improve your sleep and monitors your success with each attempt.
When I started on this team, I noticed that the UX of the existing Android app could use some work. The previous dev did an amazing job with the functional implementation, but the visual experience was difficult to market to users in the wild. During this time, I worked as a UX designer with a co-designer, Lisa Wang, and we revamped the entire experience. Together, we implemented and published the final SleepCoacher app for Android. It has since also been developed for iOS. The data collected from users through this app are discussed in the SleepBandits CHI 2020 paper.
